A Day For Some Repairs

Today was the day to fix the van. I got up early this morning and left the family at the RV park, while I took the van into have it fixed. The shop opened at 9 am and I was there at 9:30.

I left and wandered about town looking for a coffee shop or some other place to sit and do some work. Sunday in downtown Owatonna is deserted. Not only was no one there and no shops open that early, but most places where not open at all on Sundays. Such is the life in a small town.

I decided to sit at a table in Central Park. There was a faint wifi signal that I gladly took advantage of. I spent a couple more hours doing work. I got a call from the shop. It was not the wheel bearings but rather a control arm bushing that was missing. They had the parts but it was going to be a three hour job. No problem, I've got plenty of work.

For lunch I decided to walk down Bridge street to the local hamburger hill. Lots of fast food places and a Starbucks. Sometimes it's just hard to resist.

I holed up at Starbucks for a while after eating some lunch then headed back to the shop. A little while later the van was done and I was on my way back to the RV park.

Meanwhile, back at the RV park, apparently they spent the entire day in the pool. Big surprise.

We are off for Chicago tomorrow morning.
