Philadelphia, PA

Today we drove to Alexandria, VA. Along the way we stopped to see the Liberty Bell and have a real Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich.

We left Florida, NY and headed south through New Jersey on I-95. Eventually we reached Pennsylvania and into Philadelphia.

It was quite a challenge finding parking in Philadelphia. We eventually parked at the very top of a parking garage.

We walked a few blocks to the Liberty Bell site. We soon realized that we could spend several days visiting all the historical sites in Philadelphia. But today, it's the Liberty Bell. We'll have to save the others for another time.

After viewing the Liberty Bell we walked a few blocks to Campo's and real Philadelphia Cheese Steak sandwiches! It was worth the drive!

We managed to make it out of the parking garage without incident. A couple hours later we arrived in Alexandria, VA at the de Vallance Home. Jennifer and Brain de Vallance will be our hosts for the next few days while we visit Washington DC. Jennifer is the daughter of the girls kindergarten teacher.

8:45 travel time for 317 miles.
