The night at the Holiday Hills RV Park was quite comfortable. We packed up camp and headed towards Wyoming. Our destination for the day is Douglas, Wyoming.
We climbed out of Utah over the Uinta Mountain Range and into Wyoming. The Wind Farms are enormous. Some of the wind mills are right along the highway.
As we enter Wyoming, we stopped briefly at the information center to find out about local happenings on our way.
We spent some time at Fort Bridger. Fort Bridger was an outpost in the mid 1800's. It also served as a Pony Express stop. We toured a few of the restored buildings.
There are a few pictures of Fort Bridger in this photo album. There are more pictures in the Fort Bridger Photo Album.
The rest of the drive through Wyoming was, to say the least, uneventful. We've christened this a "A Whole Lotta Nothin'". (Even so Sam managed to take over 200 pictures today.)
Open prairie for as far as the eye could see. Lots of snow fences and a few antelope. But mostly lots and lots of nothing.
We turn north in Rollins to head towards South Dakota. Our camp spot for the evening is in Douglas, Wyoming, the home of the Jackelope. Our camping spot is a public park that offers free overnight camping including bathrooms and showers.
We've fallen behind in the blogging due to some battery trouble. We arrived in Douglas to find the battery in the trailer completely drained. We fired up the generator to try and get a charge back on the battery, but an hour and half was not nearly enough. So, no night time blogging. We're still working out what the problem is. Hopefully a few days charge in South Dakota will help.
