My friend Julie's son Z has autism. The symbol for autism is a puzzle piece. One interpretation is autism is a puzzle we are trying to solve. Julie found a pattern for a puzzle quilt to make Z. I was so excited when I found a puzzle piece quilting pattern and told Julie I would quilt it for her when she finished her top. Julie and family came for a visit from WA this weekend and she brought her completed puzzle top with her. Quilting off all the Binky backing earlier today, I was able to load Julie's quilt tonight. And so it begins....
