This on my design wall, working on a pink and brown quilt. I'm so excited with the new quilting machine being computerized. Means the machine can be quilting away on Binkys while I am piecing. Now that is multi-tasking!
These were waiting for me when I arrived home from North Wind Quilt Guild Quilt Show today. Six rolls of batting and 8 finished tops from my sister Cindy in San Jose. Cindy bought the fabric and batting on Thursday, had the fabric washed, cut up, and sewn together into 8 Binky tops by today when my younger sister Connie came back here from San Jose. Cindy is a speedy stitcher. Connie is a awesome courier!
How many Binky tops can you put together in 3 days? I have Binky kits ready and waiting for you, just come on by and I will set you up. You just need to stitch the top. We have a network to finish them. Several of us quilt them and we have Rhoda our Binding Beast to bind them for us.
This came home from the quilt show with me. Renay from NWQG community service sent fabric home with me for our Binky Patrol Quilts for Japan campaign. It really does take a village. And I love the village I live in!
Quilt Day at my house 10a-5p this Wednesday (March 23) and Sunday (March 27). Come on by and help me make quilts for the children of Japan out of this fabric! You can follow our Quilts for Japan project on my friend Marilyn's blog, www.northhillsquilter.com.
