This Scrappy Mountains Majesties per Bonnie Hunter went on and off the design wall to get ready for another Quilt Day.
On Quilt Day, I invite everyone I know to come help make charity quilts for a day. This time I decided to host on a Wednesday and a Sunday and it worked out great. I set up once for two days and we get a bunch accomplished for Binky Patrol. The ladies who came on Wednesday mentioned weekdays really work better for them and the Sunday crowd likes the weekends. A total of 32 people came through the door on Sunday!
Our Binky Patrol efforts until May 31 are quilts for the children of Japan. Between the two days this week (14 hours total), we made 57 tops, trimmed 15 quilts, prepped binding for 15 quilts, quilted five quilts, and bound four quilts.
Erin came for Quilt Day with these tops already done!
And a bunch of fabric came through the door as donations for our efforts. It all needed to be sorted and folded. Girl Scout Troop 20060 tackled that huge project. Thank you girls!
