This is the last Basket Weave Quilt on the design wall. I was able to make 3 Binky tops out of the 100 2.5 inch strips my sister-in-law donated.
These tops have a definite destination now. Received word today that our chapter of Binky Patrol is going to supply the survivors of the San Bruno gas explosion fire with blankets. News article here, 37 homes destroyed. We need an estimated 150-200 blankets. If you would like to help with donations to our cause, send me an email using the contact form on the sidebar. We need handmade blankets and/or quilts, we can use quilt tops, we need help cutting fabric, we need rolls of batting from JoAnn's. Let me know if you can help in any way. I will host a Quilt Day on Sunday October 10. Contact me if you are interested in helping out this day.
Last week's yellow Basket Weave Quilt stitched up nicely!
I have been working on quilts other than these basket weaves, but one is a gift and the wedding is later this month, so I post after the gift has been received... I'm so excited! It came out sooo cuddly!
