Crystal donated five receiving blanket flannel pieced and fleece backed quilts about 6 months ago. They just needed the turning hole stitched up and quilting completed. Being "turned" quilts, I wasn't sure how they would go on the frame, so I didn't tackle them before now. Turns out they quilted up right nicely. I pinned them on the frame and just avoided quilting the borders, so I didn't end up with any buckling.
Project of the day yesterday was just going to be these five quilts. About half way through quilting them, I received the message that our local Binky Patrol chapter will be providing 150-200 to the survivors of the San Bruno gas explosion fire. So I kept right on loading quilt tops on the frame and was able to quilt a total of 8 Binkys yesterday. Eight warm hugs for people experiencing devastating loss from the fire.
